Nevada is one of the largest states in the U.S., meaning you won’t find a shortage of action in the Silver State. It’s one of the only places you can ski world-class runs in the morning, then walk world-class greens in the afternoon.

For sheer scenic beauty, Lake Tahoe rivals any place on Earth. And nearby is America’s Adventure Place—Reno—home to a dazzling array of casinos, entertainment, arts and outdoor activities. Speaking of the outdoors, consider picturesque destinations such as Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire State Park or Pyramid Lake. Those hoping to celebrate lifelong devotion can visit Lovelock and engage in the ancient Chinese tradition of locking your love. If mining history is what interests you, then check out historic mining towns like Tonopah and Virginia City

Nevada’s wide range of destinations makes it unique among the 50 states—and throughout the world. Come visit us!

Nevada's name in Spanish means snow-clad.

Las Vegas is a city that barely needs an introduction. From its top-of-the-line resorts, shopping and dining to its exciting entertainment and nightlife, Las Vegas has earned its place as one of the world’s premier tourist destinations. Nevada’s largest city has long outgrown its adult playground moniker and is no longer just a gambling Mecca.

The mega-resorts that line The Strip offer visitors more than meets the eye. Behind the flashing neon and dazzling lights, each of them is a destination unto itself. Take Caesars Palace and the designer fashions available at The Forum Shops, or Mandalay Bay and its sandy beaches and wave pool or Bellagio’s world-class spa—each day in Las Vegas can be a whole new vacation. Kids and kids at heart can enjoy roller coasters and other rides at Circus Circus, Stratosphere and New York – New York and live animal exhibits at many resorts including Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage and the MGM Grand Lion Habitat. For some education with your vacation, the Springs Preserve is a fun way to learn all about the desert that surrounds Las Vegas and the Nevada State Museum, opening in 2009, will include even more informative exhibits and displays. Sun-seekers can soak up rays at resort pools at the Hard Rock Hotel, Palms, and everywhere in between.

You can bike or hike the Tahoe Rim Trail, navigate a kayak on the Truckee River through downtown Reno, take an ATV up Sand Mountain near Fallon and snowmobile miles of wide-open terrain near Elko. You can even test your Indy car or NASCAR skills in the Mario Andretti and Jeff Gordon Racing School at Las Vegas Motor Speedway—after you take in a world-famous show and dine at a five-star resort and casino, of course.

Nevada is the largest gold-producing state in the nation.
It is second in the world behind South Africa.

What do you remember about your last camping trip? Maybe it´s been years since you last took advantage of this great way to spend time with nature. Or is this a regular habit and you can’t wait to discover that new camping site? Either way, camping is one of the most satisfying ways to take a vacation. Pitching a comfy two-person tent or travelling in luxury in your new RV. Everyone has similar reasons for wanting to experience the outdoors. Today, this is the GREEN thing to do and while camping is evolving somewhat, the things that we all expect are sun, water, trees and fresh air. Those remind us of what´s important. Spend quality time with you family at a camp site you love. Take leisurely swims in the campground´s lake, toast marshmallows, and enjoy the smells of a small wood fire.
There’s never a shortage of fun things to do in Nevada!
